Temps up, dirt dry, Stoke High!

Despite temps in the nineties the community still showed up with a full roster for the second East Bay Regional Parks Community Dig Day in June to restore the tread and perform weed abatement on the connector trail commonly known as Blue Oak Stoked in Briones Regional Park.  Volunteers from all user groups came together under the guidance of East Bay Regional Parks District staff to chip away at the curbs that hold in water and make this park exit trail a sloppy mess in the rainy season.  While conditions for trail work weren’t optimal, the camaraderie shared by all made the hard work fun and surprisingly good progress was made.  Everyone enjoyed the day working together to improve the tread of this multi-use trail and sweaty brows led to big smiles and high fives as the work commenced for the day.
